GROUPS of people climbed over a cliff top safety fence to sunbathe.
Coastguards were called to Fisherman's Walk in Bournemouth at 3.48pm yesterday.
They initially thought people may be in difficulties but found the groups intentionally sitting on the cliff top.
Dangerous parking in the New Forest could block access for emergency vehicles
A spokesman for Southbourne Coastguard said: "We found three small groups of people that had contravened the cliff top safety fence to sit on the cliff edge.
"This unfortunately puts not only themselves at risk, but also others who copy their actions. We suitably advised the people to move back from the cliff edge and stay behind the safety barrier. Once everyone was in a safe location we stood down and returned to station."
