POLICE patrolling Poole's Ashley Road have issued a number of dispersal notices to street drinkers.
Officers from Poole's Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) said they issued the section 35 dispersal orders to adult drinkers involved in antisocial behaviour early in the afternoon on Thursday, April 1.
Speaking on Facebook, Poole Police said: "Poole NPT Officers on late shift today undertook foot patrol on Ashley Road.
"Following information from CSAS (Community Safety Accreditation Scheme) officer Cat, one female was located and arrested for breaching the dispersal notice alongside other offences."
BCP Council announced a dedicated street warden had been secured to patrol Poole's Ashley Road in September last year.
In the months before Covid-19 emerged in the UK, retailers and residents had been complaining of drug dealing, theft, fighting and intimidation along Ashley Road.
