FEWER THAN 20 people have died with coronavirus in the last 24 hours across the UK, with no deaths in Dorset hospitals, latest figures reveal.
Data released by NHS England today, Monday, April 5, showed that no one has died with coronavirus in the county's hospitals.
This means that there have still been 732 deaths in University Hospitals Dorset, 111 in Dorset County Hospital and 73 within the Dorset Healthcare Universities Trust.
Before the merger of the Royal Bournemouth and Poole Hospitals into University Hospitals Dorset, they recorded 68 and 107 deaths respectively.
A further 15 deaths have been recorded in hospitals in England in the last 24 hours, bringing the total of 86,422.
Patients were aged between 51 and 90 years old. All had known underlying health conditions.
Date of death ranges from March 21 to April 4, with the majority being on or after April 1.
No deaths were recorded in the South West region with the highest number - five - in the North East and Yorkshire.
