COASTGUARD teams were tasked to help police search for a man in Poole Quay.
Southbourne Coastguard, Poole Coastguard and Poole Lifeboat Station assisted Dorset Police with the search at 1am on Saturday morning.
A spokesperson for Southbourne Coastguard said: “Tasked at 0100 hours by the national maritime operations centre to assist Dorset Police with a search for a person in the Poole Quay area. Once on scene we liaised with Poole Coastguard Rescue Team and conducted a hasty search throughout the area.
RNLI Poole Lifeboat Station were also tasked. After a number of areas were cleared information came through that the person had been found by Dorset Police inland.
“At this point, with no further assistance required, we stood down and returned to station.”
