POLICE following their noses to a "rather cheap and putrid smell" found a man selling counterfeit perfume.
Officers from the Winton Neighbourhood Policing Team were on patrol as traders welcomed shoppers back to Wimborne Road yesterday.
Now they have warned shoppers against buying fake goods, which have not been subject to safety checks.

And they said the bottles even fell apart when they picked them up, creating possible choking hazards for children.
The products have been seized and will be destroyed. A male is helping police with their inquiries.
