SIX fire crews were sent to a property on Hamworthy after a house fire broke out in Blandford Road.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service received three calls reporting smoke issuing from the back door of a house in Poole at 7.22pm on Monday, April 12.
Two fire engines from Hamworthy and Poole were initially mobilised, however further support was required.
Another fire engine from Poole and another from Westbourne were sent to the scene, with a fifth appliance coming from Southbourne Fire Station.
The command unit from Hamworthy was also sent along to the incident.
Four breathing apparatus wearers used two hose reel jets and one main jet to extinguish the fire, which started accidentally in a tumble dryer.
During the incident, crews from Redhill and Christchurch provided fire cover on standby duties’ across the BCP area.
A spokesman from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to a house on Blandford Road, Poole at 7.22pm last night for a fire in the utility room.
"Six crews attended, two from Poole, Hamworthy, Westbourne, Springbourne and Wimborne, together with a support unit from Hamworthy.
"A ventilation fan was used to clear the smoke, and the stop came at 8.07pm."
