A PLAYFUL pod of dolphins joined Poole RNLI volunteers during a call-out.
They circled and leapt around the lifeboat, which had just completed a service call in Poole Bay yesterday.
Crew members spotted a fin as the dolphins got nearer to their bright orange boat. After a few minutes, they swam away.

Poole RNLI volunteer helm Alex Evans said: "We were just returning from our 25th call out this year so it’s already been a busy start for us. It was a welcome, but unusual sight for us to see and they seemed to be as intrigued with the lifeboat as we were with them.
"With lockdown easing, if you are heading to the coast and find yourself or see someone in difficulty, please dial 999 and ask for the coastguard."
