POLICE are hunting the driver of a vintage Land Rover after a hit-and-run crash which left a motorcyclist in hospital.
Officers have appealed for information following the fail-to-stop collision in Lodge Road in Holt, near Wimborne, at 7.15pm on Friday April 16.
The driver of the Land Rover failed to stop at the scene. The vehicle is described as made in the 1960s and was light blue or grey with a white roof.
The motorcyclist, a local man aged in his 60s, suffered chest injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Crown Court backlog 'really unfair' on victims of crime
Police Constable Gavin Newbury, of the Dorset Police traffic unit, said: "I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the collision, or manner of driving of either vehicle involved prior to the incident, to please get in touch.
"Our enquiries are continuing to identify the driver of the Land Rover and I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who recognises the vehicle from the description given.
"I would also like to speak to any motorists who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage."
