POLICE have warned of an ongoing series of catalytic converter thefts across Dorset.
They say that Honda cars, the Jazz and CRV models, are being targeted in particular.
A police spokesman said: "Thieves are cutting the catalytic converters off parked cars generally during the hours of darkness. In particular Honda cars Jazz and CRV models are being targeted.
"Please consider where you park your car. Ideally in a well lit open and visible area. Garage if possible.
"Consider marking your catalytic converter to make it identifiable.
"Theft prevention devices are available to purchase.
"Please be vigilant to people loitering around and working under cars on the street.
"Report suspicious activity.
"Please report these crimes so we can fully understand the extent and pattern of offences and target our activity accordingly."
