DOGS are now only allowed on certain beaches across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
New signage has been put in place by BCP Council informing dog owners where they can take their pooch.
In Bournemouth, dogs are allowed on Alum Chine, Middle Chine to Durley Chine, Fishermans Walk and Hengistbury Head.
Dogs are allowed on Highcliffe Beach, Mudeford Sandbanks and Gundimore Beach in Christchurch.
In Poole, dogs are only allowed on Branksome Dene Chine and the western end of Sandbanks beach.
A BCP Council spokesperson said: “Dogs must also be kept on leads on the promenades, piers, zig zags and footpaths and owners must clean up after their dog. Failure to comply risks a fine of up to £1000.”
