CATALYTIC converters were stolen from vehicles in Swanage on Tuesday night.
The thefts, mainly in the Bay Crescent and Redcliffe Road areas, are the latest in a spate across Dorset and Hampshire.
Police have urged motorists to park in well-lit areas and to avoid parking half on the pavement because it makes it easier for the thieves to steal the converters.

Scrap metal dealers have also been asked to report any suspicious activity as thieves attempt to sell the items.
Anything suspicious should be reported to police on 101 or email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk
