FAMOUS Dorset resident, and former AFC Bournemouth manager, Harry Redknapp, is a popular celebrity in Dorset.
The King of the Jungle is often seen out and about in the area, most recently taking part in an event to support people in Ukraine.
We've taken a look at some of the highlights from Harry over the last couple of years.
I’M A CELEBRITY… GET ME OUT OF HERE
What better place to start than Redknapp’s victorious stint on I’m a Celebrity?
In 2018, Redknapp was part of a star-studded line-up on the ITV show, and paid a staggering £500,000 for his troubles.
The veteran football manager won over viewers and went on to be crowned King of the Jungle, beating the likes of Anne Hegerty and Nick Knowles.
And Redknapp had the viewers in tears when he reunited with his beloved wife Sandra.
Redknapp broke down in tears as he said: "I can't help this, it is not like me, I don't normally cry, I'm pretty old school. Are you pleased to see me?"
His wife replied: "I got a bit sad the other day. I got a bit tearful because I missed you."
"It's funny, 54 years and we just don't want to be apart, that's done me up today," Redknapp said.
"I've missed her so much. I love you so much."
THE HOUSES ON THE PENINSULA
In October 2020, Redknapp’s former Sandbanks home was put on the market for a mouth-watering £11million.
Redknapp sold the mock-Tudor home in 2015 for £6.9million after 13 years of living there.
It was bought off of him by millionaire businessman Barry Bester, the founder of Topps Tiles.
He spent £2.5m gutting and refurbishing the waterfront home.
The house, called Harbour Gate, has six bedrooms, a kitchen and breakfast room, dining room, lounge, cinema room, library, indoor swimming pool, gym with sauna and an office.
Redknapp sold the property and moved to the other side of the peninsula, preferring a view out to the channel than one into Poole Harbour.
It was reported that Redknapp bought the new property for £4million.
The home, known as Solaris, enjoys panoramic views across Poole Bay and has a 'striking' glass frontage facing Banks Road.
The family moved to Branksome Park last year.
WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE? FAIL
Redknapp holds quite an unfortunate record following his appearance on Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?
The former football manager was sent home early after coming unstuck on his £1,000 question about which actor played the Vietnam veteran John Rambo in five action films.
He had used his 50/50 leaving the answers Bruce Willis and Sylvester Stallone, however Redknapp opted for the former.
The incorrect answer left Reknapp red-faced, and also won him the crown of being the first person since Jeremy Clarkson took over the show to go home with nothing.
According to national reports, Redknapp donated money to his chosen charity from his own pocket.
Harry Redknapp makes TV history as the 1st person to go home with nothing while Jeremy is presenter, the first celebrity to win nothing EVER, and the 9th contestant overall in the UK.#WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire #Millionaire #ITV #Quiz #JeremyClarkson #QuizShowFails #HarryRedknapp pic.twitter.com/rXn1HgOBOk

HARRY AND FOOTBALL
Redknapp played for Tottenham and West Ham, making 175 appearances for the Hammers. During this time he became good friends with Bobby Moore, the peerless England captain who lifted the World Cup in 1966.
He joined then Division Cherries in 1972, spending four seasons with the club and re-joining in 1982 as assistant manager, becoming manager a year later.
In his first season in charge of Cherries, Redknapp helped the club avoid relegation to the Fourth Division.
He also helped them complete a famous win against Manchester united in the FA Cup.
He led Cherries to the Second Division and spent two seasons there, a feat only matched by Eddie Howe some decades later.
However, after being involved in a road accident which killed then Bournemouth’s managing director Brian Tiler, Redknapp left his role at Cherries.
The crash occurred in June 1990, when Redknapp went to Italy to watch the 1990 World Cup.
Travelling through Rome, the chauffeur-driven minibus crashed head-on into a car containing three Italian soldiers.
Brian Tiler was sitting in the seat Redknapp would usually occupy and was killed, as were the three soldiers.
Redknapp suffered a fractured skull, a broken nose and cracked ribs. He made a full recovery but lost his sense of smell and gained a facial tic and left Cherries at the end of the 1991-92 season.
HARRY'S ACCIDENT IN WESTBOURNE
Sandra, Redknapp’s wife, was left seriously injured when she was run over by her husband Range Rover.
Redknapp had been dropping his wife off in Westbourne in 2016, and didn’t realise she was stuck when he drove away.
He said: “It was just a freak accident you know.
“Sandra went across the road and unfortunately she had gone behind the car to cross over the road and as I went to drive off I drove over her ankle.
“Its lucky, if the full weight of the car had gone over the ankle god knows what would have happened to her. We're ok.
“She had an operation on her ankle that went well.”
Redknapp divides opinion across Dorset but it undoubtedly one of the county’s most famous residents.
He even bagged his own ITV series in 2020, called Harry Redknapp’s Sandbanks Summer where viewers got an inside look at the star’s life.
