THE Upton Country Park Festival is one of the latest events to announce its 2021 comeback.

Originally scheduled for last year, the festival is set to return with two nights of tribute act music – 'Totally 90s' and 'Best of Brit Rock'.

The event is organised by Bearfoot Productions, and a company spokesman said: "We will of course follow government guidelines and full refunds will be offered if we are forced to postpone them.

"However, we are encouraged by the progress of the vaccine rollout and recent pilot events which have experienced no increase in Covid cases at large open-air events.

"We are therefore as sure as we can be that we will be able to deliver a safe and brilliant event and get a glorious British summer off to a good start."

Totally 90s, set for Friday, July 9, includes tribute acts for Take That, The Spice Girls, Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue.

On Saturday, July 10, Best of Brit Rock pays homage to the many British rock legends

A spokesman said: "Leading international Pink Floyd tribute The Floyd Effect appear alongside acclaimed tributes to Queen, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Oasis and Coldplay with an endless supply of air guitar classics, from Comfortably Numb to Wonderwall.

"Revellers can bring their own picnics and drinks but there will be a range of food and drink options on offer including street food vendors, cocktails, prosecco and Pimms.

The spokesman said: "After the last year everyone is desperate to party with friends and family so where better than the stunning backdrop of Upton House – the atmosphere will be electric."
