MULTIPLE vehicles have been badly damaged after a fire broke out on a small piece of land in Hamworthy in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Crews from Poole and Hamworthy were called to Hamilton Road in Poole at 1.17am, and later requested police attend.
Five vehicles, including three vans and a quad bike, were involved and are now damaged beyond repair.

However, according to residents, two of the damaged vans were moved on Sunday morning.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, and it is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokesman from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 1.17am on Sunday May 9, two crews from Hamworthy and Poole were called to attend a fire involving fence panels, three vans, one car and a quad bike on land used for vehicle storage in Hamilton Road.
“Crews extinguished the fire using two hose reel jets and two breathing apparatus. The stop was called 2.28am.”
Along with the damaged vehicles was an SUV owned by neighbours adjacent to the fenced off land, which was sparked on the roadside.
Extensive fire damage occurred to the front left of the car and its left headlight, prompting the owner to suggest that the car may not be usable again.
The owner of the damaged car said: “Our neighbours across the road heard it and tried to alert us of it but we had just come back from holiday yesterday and we were totally knackered, so we slept right through it.
“Our neighbours have been really helpful. One of them was ringing our doorbell to try and wake us up but we didn’t hear it.
“My car is possibly now a write off. Thank god nobody has been injured.”
