THE crew of a small boat called for help after suffering engine failure in strong winds off the coast of Avon beach.
A lifeboat crew from Mudeford was called to help when the 18ft boat got into difficulty just before 8pm on Monday May 10.

When the RNLI crew arrived the crew had managed to restart the engine but it was not performing at full power and those on board were concerned the wind would blow them ashore.
The boat was escorted to its mooring at Stanpit.
