A FORMER manager of one of London’s top nightclubs aims to turn Bournemouth’s Pier Approach restaurant bar into “the UK’s best seaside entertainment destination”.
Aaron Sinkia has joined Aruba from London’s Cafe de Paris to lead the seafront venue’s events and entertainments line-up as it prepares to reopen next week.
Cafe De Paris is known for entertainment including cabaret, laser shows and club nights. Aruba said Mr Sinkia was being “tasked with bringing the glitz and glamour of London-based nightclubs to Bournemouth beach”.
Mr Sinkia said: “Aruba is an idyllic beachside location with incredible potential to be one of the most in-demand night-time destinations in the south."

Aruba will open to guests on Monday, May 17, with the first event, Broadway on the Beach, on May 20. The event will offer four hours of musical theatre hits performed by Broadway and West End theatre stars.
“We’re re-opening on Thursday, May 20 with a real bang and an events line-up that will blow our guests away,” said Mr Sinkia.
“The venue is undergoing refurbishments and adjustments to cater for new entertainment spaces, including new aerial equipment for silks and trapeze performances.
“In our events line-up, which runs from Thursday to Sunday, you can expect everything from musical theatre, lighting effects, world-class artistes, pool party vibes, old school ravers, fire shows, glitter, glitz and glam. It’s going to be a true spectacle right here in Bournemouth.”

Other events lined p include Aruba 54 Cabaret Show, Old School Garage Brunch on the Beach, Summer House Brunch, Hip-Hop Brunchin! and Ladies’ Day Bottomless Brunch.
Andy Price, who owns Aruba and Westbeach, took over the former Show Bar in 2006 and turned it into a tropical-themed drinks venue.
He said: “We’re taking Aruba back to its roots, taking inspiration from the Show Bar, but this time bringing London-style entertainment to the beach.
“We have a highly experienced, creative team in place and I am confident that our line-up of events will not just put Bournemouth on the map, but will make it the best coastal destination in the UK this summer.”
