SUNSEEKER is officially unveiling five new models – and welcomed actor Hugh Bonneville to its Poole shipyards.
The luxury boat builder sailed what it calls its “Famous Five” new motor yachts in formation from Poole to Studland Bay ahead of a “world premiere” online.
It welcomed the star of Downton Abbey and the Paddington films to its shipyards to support a launch video for the new models.
The company assembled the Manhattan 55, Predator 55 EVO, 65 Sport Yacht, 88 Yacht, and 90 Ocean in public for the firs time.
Hugh Bonneville said: “A few years ago, I joined the Sunseeker team at the London Boat Show and quickly came to understand that this company is so much more than a brand – it’s a global family.
“Sunseeker don’t just build boats, they build dreams and I feel very fortunate to join in the celebratory launch of these incredible new models.
“It’s an outstanding achievement of which the iconic British company can be justifiably proud.”
The actor toured the company’s shipyards, met the teams behind the boats and tried out the interiors of the new models.
Sunseeker chief executive Andrea Frabetti said: “It was a great privilege to welcome Hugh back to Poole to help launch all five new models, each imbued with Sunseeker style and innovation.
“This is the culmination of a great deal of hard work, talent and passion by the entire workforce. The credit rests with each and every one of them.
“This launch is a truly momentous occasion, and I cannot wait to welcome even more clients to our burgeoning ‘family’ as our range continues to expand.”
Sunseeker’s Chinese owner Dalian Wanda announced last year that it would be providing the company with a £38 million injection of working capital.
The business – which employs around 2,000 people in Dorset – intends to double its range to 22 models quicker than originally intended.
It held online events to showcase the Manhattan 55 and Predator 55 Evo motor yachts last month.
More new models are due next year.
The Sunseeker "Famous Five" world premiere video will be available to watch from today, Friday May 14, at 6pm, via the company’s YouTube channel SunseekerIntl and the Facebook page @sunseekerinternational
