JUST five new coronavirus cases were recorded in Dorset, according to the latest daily update.
Figures released online by the Government report that a further two people in the BCP Council area had tested positive for Covid in the 24 hours up to 4pm on Saturday, May 15.
Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 25,437 cases across the conurbation.
In the latest seven-day rolling period up to May 10, BCP has recorded 48 cases. This is a rate of 12.1 cases per 100,000 people.
The Dorset Council has recorded another three cases and has now seen 11,949 people test positive throughout the pandemic.
The rolling weekly rate is nine cases per 100,000, with 34 positive tests recorded in this period.
Meanwhile, in the New Forest one additional positive case was confirmed.
There have been 6,224 Covid cases across the district since the start of the pandemic and the current weekly rolling rate is 10.6 cases per 100,000 people after 19 people tested positive.
