A CYCLIST from Poole has been hospitalised following a collision with a vehicle in West Parley this morning.
The crash occurred on the A347 New Road, south of the Parley Cross Roads, between 6.30am and 7am on Tuesday May 18.
It is reported that the vehicle failed to stop at the scene.
The cyclist – a man aged in his 20s from Poole – sustained a dislocated ankle and broken toes.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
Police Constable Sam Kinsella, of East Dorset police, said: “An investigation is underway to identify the vehicle involved in this collision. I would urge anyone who was in the area around the relevant time and may have witnessed what happened to please get in touch.
“I am also keen to hear from any motorists who were travelling in the area around the time of the incident and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
