THE ORGANISERS behind the market events to be held in Bournemouth and Poole over two consecutive weekends have announced they are to be postponed due to bad weather.
Marvellous Markets, in partnership with Bournemouth Town Centre BID, were to host their first event in the town at Horseshoe Common on May 22 and 23.
However sustained wet weather and high winds have meant that planners have cancelled the weekend event.
The company were also due to host a market event in Poole this past weekend, May 16 and 17, but the market at Falkland Square was called off at the last minute on Saturday morning due to wet weather.
In an announcement made on Marvellous Market’s Facebook page about the on the morning of Saturday May 16, organisers said: “Due to tomorrow's rain forecast, this weekend's Marvellous Market in Poole will be rescheduled.
“We will announce a new date very soon. The traders and musicians agree that we'd all like to entertain you when the weather is better.
“We're so sorry and hope you'll still visit Poole for a day of shopping.”
Marvellous Markets have also said they are working with BCP Council’s Park Team to confirm new dates for the two-day international market in Bournemouth.
