A VEHICLE that was believed to have been involved in catalytic converter thefts has been seized by police.
Officers received a report that the device was stolen from a car park in Leigh Road, Wimborne.
A force spokesman said it was reported that the offenders involved had been travelling in a black Volvo S40 that was believed to be on false plates.
Three similar offences were later reported in the Blandford area later that day with a Black s40 leaving one of the scenes, again on false plates.
The Dorset Police spokesman said: "At around 5.45pm on Tuesday, May 18, a Volvo S40, believed to be the same vehicle, was located by police in the area off the A37 north of the Monkeys Jump Roundabout near Dorchester. The vehicle was seized and enquiries are ongoing."
