A TOTAL of five new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed across Dorset within the past 24 hours, according to the latest figures.
The latest Government figures has revealed that five new cases were recorded across Dorset within the latest 24-hour period, up to 4pm on Saturday, May 22.
There were only three new cases recorded in the BCP Council area, taking the area's total since the start of the pandemic to 25,451.
The number of coronavirus cases over the latest rolling seven-day period for BCP is 35 cases, with a case rate of 8.9 per 100,000 people.
There were two new cases recorded across the Dorset Council area during the same period. The total number of coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic in this area now stands at 11,936.
The rolling seven-day period for Dorset is 17 cases with a case rate of 4.5 per 100,000 people.
Further afield n the New Forest, there have been no new recorded cases of coronavirus, so the total remains at 6,218.
The seven-day period for New Forest is 12, with a case rate of 6.7 per 100,000 people.
