BOURNEMOUTH has been named among the towns with the fewest number of pubs for the population, the latest study shows.
In the UK there are around 47,000 pubs to serve the 66 million people living in the United Kingdom. That’s approximately 1000 pubs per 1.4 million people.
Naturally the number of pubs and people fluctuates across the UK, so which towns and regions have the most pubs per person?

Money.co.uk looked at the latest government data to discover the number of pubs in each local authority district, as well as the population for the same area.
They then divided the population by the number of pubs to establish which region in the country has the highest pubulation density.
Unfortunately, not everyone in the country is lucky enough to live in an area where there is a small number of people for every pub, and these are the areas where you will have the most local competition for a table.
