CLEAR skies and warm weather attracted thousands of visitors to Bournemouth beach and town centre today.
The sun was shining today, Sunday, May 30, with temperatures expected to reach between 20 degrees Celsius and 22 degrees Celsius.
Many people queued for Harry Ramsden's and food outlets on the promenade while others braved a dip in the sea and zipline above Bournemouth beach.
The Land Train was also in action, ferrying excited passengers along the promenade.
One family travelled to Bournemouth from Buckinghamshire to soak up the sunshine.
Eileen Freshwater, who visited Bournemouth with Donald Bignell and their granddaughter Olivia, said: "My son lives here in the local area, so we came down to spend time with our family. We've only just arrived but we will be heading home later today.

"We won't be staying long and I'm sure we will be ready to return home later.
"I am surprised at how many people there are without masks on."
Families and visitors could also be seen making the most of the mini golf facilities in the town, along with the amusements provided on the beach which included trampolines.
One beach visitor however, was visiting the beach to create his own amusement.
Alex Baker, 12, from Mudeford, was visiting the beach with his dad, who wished to remain anonymous.
Alex is a keen rollerblader and the pair had come down to the Pier Approach to practice their skills whilst the weather was pleasant.
Alex said: "I love rollerblading and we decided to come here as it's flat and has a good atmosphere. But it is really busy so it's hard to dodge between people. It's quite a challenge."

Alex's dad added: "He's very good at rollerblading and we come down here every other weekend.
"I think Bournemouth is pretty awful now, but it's nice to see people here in the sun and out and about.
"They could do with bringing the live music events in the town back."
The large surge in visitors saw numerous beaches being classed as 'congested' on the Beach Check app.
In the middle of the afternoon on Sunday, congested beaches included; Avon Beach, Bournemouth Beach East, Bournemouth Beach West, Alum Chine and Branksome Chine.
The app also advised people to avoid Sandbanks, Mudeford Sandbank and Mudeford Quay.
The temperature is set to continue to rise as the bank holiday progresses.
On bank holiday Monday, the Met Office is predicting highs of 22 degrees Celsius and sunshine for Bournemouth.
Becky Mitchell, a meteorologist from the Met Office, said: "We are expecting highs of 25C (77F) tomorrow, so the warmest day of the year so far, and both today and tomorrow we will see temperatures in the low 20s in most parts of the UK, even in northern Scotland."
