A TOTAL of 12 new coronavirus cases have been recorded across Dorset, according to the latest statistics.
The latest Government figures show 12 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the county in the 24 hours leading up to 4pm on Tuesday, June 1.
In the Dorset Council area, four new case was reported. Since the beginning of the pandemic, there has been 11,959 Covid-19 cases confirmed across the local authority area.
The number of coronavirus cases over the latest rolling seven-day period for the Dorset Council area is 10 cases, and the case rate is 2.6 per 100,000 people.
Eight new cases were recorded across the BCP Council, taking the total number of coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic to 25,496.
The rolling seven-day period for the BCP is 27 cases, with a case rate of 6.8 per 100,000 people.
During the course of the coronavirus pandemic, there has been 37,443 cases of Covid-19 confirmed across Dorset.
Elsewhere, the New Forest area recorded zero new coronavirus cases. The total number of coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic stands within the New Forest at 6,229.
The seven-day total for New Forest is seven, with a case rate of 3.9 per 100,000 people.
Across the UK, 3,165 new cases of the Covid-19 virus were recorded, taking the total number of corornavirus cases since the start of the pandemic to 4,490,438.
