THE number of coronavirus cases and deaths have remained low across Dorset throughout the last month, according to the latest figures.
The most recent government data shows that there have still been no reported deaths from the coronavirus since May 3 in Dorset.
A total of 737 people have died from the coronavirus in University Hospitals Dorset (UHD) since the start of the pandemic.
UHD incorporates the former Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals Trust, as well as Poole Hospital.
Meanwhile the data shows that there have been a total of 111 reported deaths from the coronavirus at the Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester - with the last recorded death from the virus at the site on March 31.

Under 40 new cases in Dorset in the last seven days
As we approach the final stage of Prime Minister Boris Johnson's roadmap out of lockdown, the government is keeping a close eye on case rates as one of their deciders for easing restrictions.

Across Dorset and BCP the rate has continued to fall week on week.
Figures released by Public Health Dorset show in the seven days to June 2, the rate in the BCP area was 6.8 per 100,000 people and 2.6 in wider Dorset.
This means there were 27 positive coronavirus cases across BCP and just 10 in Dorset.

The case rate across Dorset and BCP remains below average for the south west and England.
During the last seven days, the rate was 8.7 in the south west and 28.9 in England.
This is the total number of people with at least one positive COVID-19 test result, either lab-reported or through a lateral flow device.
More than 877,000 jabs given in Dorset
Figures released by NHS England show that a total of 419,980 vaccines have been given across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
There have been 241,789 first doses given across BCP, with 178,191 residents also receiving their second jab.

There have been 241,789 first doses given across BCP, with 178,191 residents also receiving their second jab.
In wider Dorset 262,418 people have received their first dose and 195,051 residents have received their second dose.
Stats also revealed that 55,543 people aged above 80 have had the second dose, while 35,896 of people under 40 have had their second jab.
