A MAN is due to appeal the custodial sentence he received for a series of offences in Bournemouth.
Robert Simion Deal, 38, was committed to prison for 18 weeks at Poole Magistrates’ Court on April 29.
This was after the defendant, whose address was given as Kimmeridge Avenue, Poole, admitted charges of possessing a knife in public, going equipped for theft, breach of a conditional discharge order issued for possession of class A drugs, theft and being carried in a motor vehicle taken without the owner’s consent.
Deal made an application for bail pending the outcome of his appeal against the sentence.
Magistrates granted this application and the defendant was remanded on unconditional bail.
The appeal hearing is due to take place at Bournemouth Crown Court on Wednesday, June 23.
