A BOURNEMOUTH road will close for the majority of June while SGN carries out gas main replacement works.
BCP Council confirmed in a public notice that Alton Road will close on June 7, with the closure lasting until June 25.
The notice said: “Notice is hereby given that BCP Council in exercise of its powers under the road traffic regulation act 1984 as amended and the traffic management act 2004, has made temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.”
The road will be closed to all vehicles, and no parking, waiting, loading or unloading will be permitted at any time.
The closure will be in place on Alton Road from its junction with Priestly Road to its junction with Wallis Road.
Full emergency services access will be maintained, as will access to properties.
A diversion will be in place via Alton Road, Wallisdown Road and Kinson Road.
