SPEEDING drivers were handed fixed penalty tickets during checks in Poole.
Officers carried out an operation in the Herbert Avenue and Yarrow Road areas following complaints from members of the public and local businesses.
Some drivers were handed tickets and others were offered advice yesterday afternoon.
Latest cases to come before Poole magistrates
A spokesman for Poole police said: "These are residential and retail areas, with a high pedestrian foot fall.
"It's 30mph for a reason, please show respect to others by adhering to the legislation, it is a limit not a target."
