A HIKER was rescued by a joint emergency services response this afternoon after suffering a fall in Purbeck.
Coastguard rescue teams along with the ambulance and police were called out to the scene of the incident near Swanage on Tuesday, June 8.
The hiker fell at Anvil Point, an area within the grounds of Durlston Country Park - close to Anvil Point Lighthouse.

The casualty had fallen at a remote location near the point and officers were called in to help transport the hiker across the difficult terrain to the ambulance.
Members of the Swanage and Wareham Neighbourhood Policing Teams (SWNPT) left the hiker in the care of the ambulance crew.
A Purbeck Police spokesperson said: "We work very closely with other emergency services here in Purbeck and when somebody needs help, we go."
