AN INVESTIGATION has been launched over a sexual assault in a Christchurch alleyway.
Police received a report that a woman aged in her 20s had been assaulted the incident at around 3.30am in the pedestrian area off Rodney Drive, Mudeford, on Saturday, June 12.
A cordon was put in place while inquiries were carried out. At present no arrested have been made.
A force spokesperson said: "Dorset Police received a report at around 3.30am on Saturday, June 12, that a woman aged in her 20s had been sexually assaulted in an alleyway off Rodney Drive in Christchurch.
"A cordon was put in place at the scene to allow detectives to carry out enquiries.
"A full investigation is underway into the report. No arrests have been made at this time."
