TWO people arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed in Bournemouth's Lower Gardens have been released without charge.
Dorset Police received a report that around 11.50pm on Tuesday, June 8, that an 18-year-old man has suffered a stab wound to the chest.
It was reported the victim had been walking toward Bournemouth Pier with two friends when they walked past a man and a woman who were sitting on a bench.
As they walked past, the man reportedly began shouting and got up and assaulted the victim before he and the woman made off in the direction of Bournemouth Square.
Police later arrested a man and a teenaged girl on suspicion of attempted murder.
A police spokesman has confirmed: "An 18-year-old Bournemouth man and a 16-year-old girl from Poole were previously arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
"They have now been released from police bail without charge."
