THREE teenagers have been arrested in connection with an assault at a New Forest sports ground ground.

Hampshire Constabulary received a report from a member of the public who witnessed the incident at Fawcetts Fields in, Christchurch Road, New Milton, at around 8.50pm on Saturday, June 26.

The victim, a 16-year-old boy from Brockenhurst, suffered minor injuries.

Providing an update on the force's investigation, a police spokesman said three boys had been arrested.

A 15-year-old boy from New Milton was arrested on suspicion of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault and possession of a Class B drug.

Another 15-year-old boy from New Milton was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm, attempting to cause grievous bodily harm and possession of a Class B drug.

A 15-year-old boy from Christchurch was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm.

Officers are seeking to speak with any witnesses, or anyone with information, in relation to this incident.
