FIRE crews were tackling a blaze at a barn in Swanage late into the night on Monday.
As reported, crews from Swanage, Wareham, Christchurch, Wimborne, Ferndown, Hamworthy, Poole and Bridport were called to the fire near Valley Road between Harmans Cross and Swanage.
Shortly before 8pm the fire was being dampened down, but Swanage Fire Station warned the incident would be going on into the night.

Providing an update at 7.10pm, Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “The incident in Corfe Castle is still ongoing and the levels of smoke are now a cause for some concern.
“Residents of Corfe Castle and Harmans Cross are advised to keep windows and doors closed. Please take care when travelling in the area.”
Tweeting this morning, the fire service said two pumping appliances and a water carrier were still in attendance maintaining a watching brief.
The fire service has been contacted for an update.
