SUNNIER weather is set to return to the South Coast this week following a period of unsettled weather for most of the UK.
This month has been far from the usual sun-soaked July we have come to expect over the last two years, with temperatures comfortably in the high teens for the first two weeks of this month.
However, the return of an area of high pressure on Wednesday will bring with it “some settled conditions” and sunny spells for the rest of this week.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t mean the rain will subside, as intermittent showers are expected “cannot be ruled out”, according to the outlook from BBC South Today weather.
The Met Office said: “Sunny spells on Tuesday, with some showers, heavier in the east. Dry with many sunny spells on Wednesday.
“Low cloud and drizzle on Thursday morning, clearing to sunny spells later.”
Most of us will wake up to variable club on Tuesday, with a few showers.
In the afternoon, although there may be the odd lingering shower, sunshine will return.
Wednesday will see a ridge of high pressure moving in, bringing some settled conditions which will last into Thursday, along with variable cloud.
Temperatures are expected to reach 24 degrees, with sunny weather anticipated to extend into the weekend.
