A MAN has been jailed for four months after he was caught repeatedly drink or drug driving.
Adam Lee Scott appeared in the dock at Poole Magistrates’ Court on July 5 in relation to four separate incidents.
Scott, whose address was given as Pinewood Way, Salisbury, was drink driving, using a motor vehicle without insurance and driving without a licence in a blue Ford Transit van Christchurch Road, Bournemouth, on July 4.
On January 8, he was at the wheel of a Ford S-Max in excess of the drink drive limit and while disqualified on the A338 in Fordingbridge.
The defendant was drug driving with benzoylecgonine, the main metabolite of cocaine, on September 24 last year. He also was disqualified at this point, did not have insurance and the Mazda he was driving in Wick Lane, Downton, was in a condition that danger was caused or was likely to be caused to any person in or on it or on a road.
The previous month, on August 8, Scott was drink driving in a Ford Fiesta in Downton Road Salisbury, again without insurance and while disqualified.
The defendant admitted all of the offences along with two charges of failing to surrender to custody at Wiltshire Magistrates’ Court in March and April having been released on bail.
District Judge Stephen Nicholls jailed the Scott for four months and handed him a driving ban for four years and 62 days.
Court papers said the criminal behaviour was deemed so serious because of the frequency of offending and blatant breach of court orders.
