EASYJET’S first flight on its new domestic summer route launched from Bournemouth Airport over the weekend.
Flights from Bournemouth to the John Lennon Liverpool Airport took off on Saturday at 7.50am for the first time and is operating twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays with fares starting from £22.99.
Ali Gayward, Easyjet’s UK country manager, said: “We are delighted to have launched our first flight from Bournemouth to Liverpool.
“This new route further strengthens our network from Bournemouth and provides more connectivity for our customers whether they are reuniting with loved ones, connecting for business, or want to explore more of the UK this summer.
Steve Gill, Managing Director at Bournemouth Airport, said: “I’m delighted to welcome today’s inaugural Liverpool flight with easyJet, creating domestic connectivity between the south coast and north west for the first time.
“As the country begins to unlock, confidence is growing in air travel and we look forward to more route launches in the coming weeks and months.
“This is an important moment for our airport and our region, and great news for business and leisure passengers in both directions.”
