A FAMILY-friendly bar that offers more than just drinks is our Trader of the Week.
Marroy's Bar in Christchurch Road, Boscombe, has endured "many challenges" in the past but is keen to turn over a new leaf for the benefit of the community.
Employee Connie O'Gormley said: "We have faced many challenges since being here, so we are trying to change it drastically by creating a warm and welcome environment. We are trying to bring something different to the community as Marroy's is a community venue. We are like a family here.
"We are trying to turn the place around, and we want to be a part of the regeneration of Boscombe.

"We've been knocked down again and again but we keep coming back and want people to know that we are here and what we offer."
The interior of the bar is one of the many things that has been changed, and plans are in place to introduce a variety of events and entertainment acts for customers.
Connie said: "We are beginning to introduce a mixture of music acts, from DJs to tribute acts. We have an Amy Winehouse tribute act performing here on September 25.
"We want to bring something a bit different to our punters, and people are desperate for something a bit different and affordable.
"Our aim is to do something different every month and have more tribute acts, DJs, drag queens and much more. We're reluctant to organise these at the moment due to Covid, but we really want to offer more live music.
"The bar is a great place for people to come and we provide a variety of entertainment.
"We also offer Sky Sports and BT Sports, free jukebox and pool table all day, every Wednesday. We have a variety of drinks promotions and deals and every Friday we have a live DJ and host a quiz, where the winning table wins a round of shots.
"We are trying to create something positive for the community. There is a great family feel to the place."
