BOURNEMOUTH'S Aruba bar and restaurant has fought off competition to launch a second beach bar on the seafront.
Sunset Beach Club will open on Friday, July 16, taking inspiration from the Balearic Islands and Bali to offer a new restaurant and beach bar.
The team behind Aruba and Lost Paradise collaborated together to produce a winning competitive pitch to BCP council for Bournemouth’s latest beachfront venue.
Andy Price, the owner of Aruba, said: “We’ve been operating hospitality venues on the seafront for over 20 years and have the expertise to keep bringing new experiences to Bournemouth beach.
“We are pleased that BCP Council has embraced consumer trends and is enabling us to entertain locals and tourists directly on our golden sands.”
“Using our extensive experience and in collaboration with the Lost Paradise team, we’ve created what will be a very popular destination this summer.”
The beach bar will be open to the public from midday on Friday this week and is to be positioned to the left of the Bournemouth Pier.
Cold beers, cocktails and some of the south’s best DJs will be on offer for punters in addition to a selection of food from Clarks Kitchen.
Sunset beach club will feature the Dorset-based street food providers who serve a varied menu including burgers, wraps, halloumi fries and other classic street dishes from 12pm everyday.
Mr Price added: “With delicious food, cocktails and the ultimate chilled beach club atmosphere, Sunset Beach is set to be in high demand, especially as we’re opening just in time for the heatwave!”
The beach bar will be open to the public from midday on Friday this week and is to be positioned to the left of the Bournemouth Pier.
Following the opening of W Beach it is the second bar to be operated and run by the Aruba team.
Bournemouth’s latest bar will remain in place until late September and open 12pm until late every day of the week during the summer months.
