IT IS getting hot, hot, hot with temperatures expected to hit the early 30s across parts of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
Summer is finally here and this week the nation is being gripped by a heatwave - the Met Office have issued an amber weather warning for extreme heat across the south west.
The weather warning will remain in place until midnight on Thursday, July 22, and warns of adverse health effects due to the heat including dehydration, nausea and fatigue.

Forecaster Bournemouth and Poole Weather said that temperatures already hit 27C by 10am with the heat expected to last right through the night again.
Warm weather has also allowed the sea temperature to rise to 18C so if you need to cool off, it's prime time to go for a dip.
The sunshine and extreme heat is set to continue for the next few days, with potential highs of 33C.
