ENGINEERS are set to start sewer maintenance work under Wool's busy Dorchester Road.

The work, to upsize 170 metres of existing sewer, starts on Monday January 7 and is scheduled for six weeks.

Temporary traffic light will be in force enabling the road to remain open, but delays are anticipated.

A Wessex Water spokesman said: "This is essential work and part of our flood alleviation scheme."

The work will be between the junctions with Cedar Close and Linclieth Road.
