A LAWYER from Ferndown has completed her 500-mile fundraiser to help tackle the oxygen crisis in India - raising almost £3,500.
Summer Abrahams, 43, started her epic challenge on May 15 and walked for 41 days to raise money for oxygen and oxygen cylinders to support those with Covid-19 in India.
The incredible amount raised will see 162 oxygen cylinders be sent to India at the end of this month.
Summer said: "The challenge was really, really hard and more difficult than I thought it would be. It was raining for the first two weeks then it was really hot.

"It was an amazing challenge and I loved it, but it was very hard.
"I wanted to play a really tiny part in helping a significant crisis. There has never been a time where oxygen is so needed and is really critical.
"India produces 9,000 tons of liquid oxygen each day but only 10 to 15 per cent of that goes toward medical supplies, so as Covid-19 cases increased, the oxygen supplies depleted.
"Covid-19 has been difficult enough but to then suffer an oxygen crisis on top made me need to do something to see if I could raise any money.
"While we’re coming out of the worst of the pandemic here in the UK, people in India are still in the midst of their darkest days."
Summer completed the challenge at the end of June after enduring torrential rain in May, morning and night, which was then followed by a heatwave.
In light of the gruelling conditions, Summer continued to walk eight miles every morning from 5.30am and eight and a half miles every evening from 5.30pm, raising vital funds for the crisis.
She said: "I am extremely grateful to every single person and business who donated, but I would like to especially thank my friends Carole Frampton, Steph Harrison, Lyn Moreland, Alison Kinsey and Rhea Pinfield who walked some miles with me to keep me company.
"I would also like to extend my thanks to Ovenu Bournemouth, Chicken & Blues, Dutton Gregory LLP, Taj of Corfe Mullen and Chez Fred Westbourne who very kindly sponsored me and helped me fund a fantastic amount of cylinders."
