EMERGENCY services are dealing with a “serious” crash which has closed a Christchurch road.

Motorists are being urged to avoid the area around the A35 Lyndhurst Road.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “Road closures are currently in place on the A35 Lyndhurst Road in Christchurch as emergency services respond to reports of a single vehicle serious road traffic collision.

“Closures are in place between the Lyndhurst Roundabout and Station Road at Hinton Admiral.

“Diversions have been put in place but motorists are urged to avoid the area if possible.”
