OFFICERS arrested two people from Bournemouth after reports of a burglary at a student accommodation block in the town.
Police were called at 9pm on Thursday, July 22, to reports of a burglary at Oxford Point on Oxford Road after a handbag and items of clothing were reported stolen.
A 17-year-old girl and a 50-year-old woman, both from Bournemouth, were detained but were later de-arrested.
A police spokesman said: “Dorset Police received a report at 9pm on Thursday July 22 of a burglary at an address on Oxford Road in Bournemouth.
“It is reported that a handbag and items of clothing were stolen.
“Officers attended and a 17-year-old girl and a 50-year-old woman – both from Bournemouth – were arrested in connection with the incident.
“A search of an address was carried out and the two people were later de-arrested.
“Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.”
