Yellow Buses are joining forces with the Bournemouth Reggae Weekender festival as an official partner to provide transport for the event.

The reggae festival is being ,organised by Afro*disiac Live Radio CIC, is due to take place this weekend between July 30- August 1 at King’s Park.

Yellow Buses will be running shuttle bus services between Poole and Christchurch and the venue, of which the price is already included with any entry ticket.

Jay Thornton of Yellow Coaches, sister company of Yellow Buses, said they “are very proud to be supporting yet another popular and local event.”

He said: “We have been working very closely with the event organisers to provide a travel solution so people can get to and from the event safely, efficiently and without the hassle of driving or parking their cars.”

Adding they will provide a number of services across the conurbation from Poole Station via Parkstone, Westbourne and Bournemouth railway station with additional buses from Somerford and Christchurch via Iford straight to King’s Park.

Raymond Nyenje, organiser of the festival, has said it will be a “unique occasion to celebrate the diverse African-Caribbean culture and reggae music”, paying his thanks to Yellow Buses.

Tickets are £10 for adults and £20 for a family and will include the complimentary shuttle bus service, users just need to present their event ticket to hop on board the shuttle bus.
