POLICE are searching for two women who grabbed a man and stole his Rolex in Poole.

At approximately 1.50pm on Monday, July 26 the victim – a man aged in his 70s – was approached at the entrance to the Harbourside Car Park 1 at Baiter Park at the junction with Labrador Drive by two women who asked him to sign a piece of paper to help children.

It is reported that the women made sexual advances toward the man, before grabbing and hugging him.

During the incident, the victim’s Rolex watch was stolen.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

The first woman is described as aged between late 20s or mid 30s, five feet five inches tall and of stocky build with dark tanned skin and black shoulder-length hair.

She spoke with an eastern European accent and was wearing blue jeans.

The second woman is described as aged between late 20s or mid 30s, five feet seven inches tall and of slim and athletic build with dark tanned skin and black hair that was the length of her jawline.

She also spoke with an eastern European accent and had blue jeans on.

There have been other incidents reported recently across the county where Rolex watches have been targeted, including in East Dorset and Dorchester.

Police Constable Matthew Batter, of Dorset Police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed what happened, or recognises the women from the descriptions given, to please come forward.

“If you were travelling in the area and have a dashcam fitted to your vehicle, please can I ask you to check your footage for anything of relevance to my investigation.

“I would like to warn the public following recent similar incidents to please remain vigilant when in close proximity to someone you do not know.”
