SUNSET Beach bar and restaurant has already proved to be very popular after opening for business earlier this month on Bournemouth seafront.
The Bali and Balearic islands inspired bar opened on the beach to the left of the pier last Friday and has already gone down a hit with guests; even extending its menu due to popularity.
Benjamin Banks Reynolds, joint curator of the venue, said: “Sunset Beach has already proven incredibly popular just a week after opening.
“Locals who have visited this week have been blown away by what we’ve created and the most common feedback we’ve had is that they genuinely feel like they’ve been transported to Greece or the South of France for a couple of hours.”
Adding the warm weather has certainly helped the business get off to a “booming” start for the bar run by the teams behind Aruba and Lost Paradise.
Aruba operations director, Matt Piovan, says those who live in the area have a variety of beach options which are “proving to be very popular and successful this year.”
He added: “From a tourism perspective, having additional restaurant offerings on the beach means that beachgoers can extend their day in the sun by enjoying a meal and a drink before heading home, massively benefitting our seafront economy.
“There has been an overwhelmingly positive response from everyone who has visited so far and we’re hopeful that we can bring these venues back and more next year to continue evolving BCP’s beachside offering.”
Due to the popularity of the bar and restaurant the menu has been extended to offer five new salads, fish and chips, sharing platters and nachos.
Sunset Beach has been popular amongst tourists and visitors alike with mojitos and the mac attack burger some of the biggest hits.
Benjamin says the new venues are producing an environment on the beachfront that locals have been looking for.
He added: “Hot, balmy summer evenings at Sunset Beach are becoming the norm with locals enjoying a bite to eat and a cocktail as the sun goes down after work.
“We’re creating the lifestyle that Bournemouth residents have craved for a long time.”
Open until late September the bar is open every day of the week from 12pm until late offering a scenic setting on the coast to enjoy some food and drink by the sea.
