A MAN has pleaded guilty to causing another man serious injury by driving dangerously.
John Albert Bond, 25, was at the wheel of a Nissan X-Trail in Corfe Mullen, when the incident took place on July 20, 2020.
Bond, of Coldharbour, Wareham, appeared at Bournemouth Crown Court on July 23 of this year,where he pleaded guilty to causing serious injury to Oliver John George by driving a vehicle dangerously in Waterloo Road, near the junction with Chapel Lane.
Judge Keith Cutler adjourned the case to allow a pre-sentence report to be prepared ahead of a hearing on August 27.
The defendant was issued with an interim driving disqualification and remanded on unconditional bail.
Dorset Police said they were called to a report at 11.49pm on July 20, 2020, that a vehicle had collided with a tree.
Officers attended, along with the ambulance service, and a male passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries, a force spokesperson said.
