A MAN was rescued after spending half an hour in the water at Holes Bay trapped between his motor boat and a tender.
The man, who had trapped his leg, also injured his shoulder in the incident.
Poole's RNLI lifeboat was launched on Saturday, just before 2.15pm, after a passing RIB raised the alarm.
A Poole RNLI spokesman said: "A private RIB transiting the area outside the RNLI Training College heard a cry for help and saw a person trapped between his motor boat that was tied to a mooring buoy and his tender.
"The RIB passengers alerted a Royal Yachting Association training school boat that was also close by – RIB Harrier.
"They immediately put their RIB alongside the casualty, it seems that he had trapped his leg in a line between his vessel and tender and also had damaged his shoulder, he had been in the water for half an hour or so and was in pain."
Other vessels arrived to help and the man was eventually hauled to safety.
He was then transferred by the RNLI to a waiting ambulance, which transported him to hospital for further treatment.
