POLICE were called to Ferndown following reports of an animal cruelty incident in which two birds were killed.
Officers were notified of a group of teenagers seen throwing water bottles at birds during the evening on August 14.
Two of the three birds were killed, and police are continuing enquiries into the incident.
A spokesman from Dorset Police said: “At 7.56pm on Saturday August 14, Dorset Police received a report of teenage children throwing a water bottle at birds in Dugdell Close in Ferndown and that two to three birds had been killed.
“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
